'The Biggest Loser' Season 16 Week 3 Challenges: Back to 'Glory Days'

"The Biggest Loser" is an American television show where obese people compete at a chance to win a cash prize by losing the greatest percentage of body weight relative to their initial starting weight. The series airs on the NBC channel and is already on its sixteenth season, which premiered Sept. 11 earlier this month. The subtitle for this season is "Glory Days."

The show is already on its third week, with an episode airing on Sept. 25. For the third week, competitors will face a new challenge to gain weigh-in advantages. This time, teams will be answering a nutrition quiz and whenever they get an answer wrong, their trainers will pay the price by eating junk food.

Season 16's contestants are all composed of former athletes and as the week started, the trainers -- Dolvett Quince, Jessie Pavelka and Jennifer Widerstrom -- have transformed one section of the gym into a "Wall of Glory," with photos of the athletes when they were still fit. This brings back a flood of memories for the contentants and the trainers encourages the players to use this as a motivation to get fit again, making a their "glory days" not only a part of their past but also their future.

As the first challenge is a nutrition quiz, the second challenge involves all teams in a spinner bike challenge which will reward whoever wins either a huge weigh-in advantage or letters from home. It's already been three weeks into the show and contestants are already missing their loved ones.

For whichever team wins the next challenge, they get the weigh-in advantage while the rest get the letters. For some, getting the letters is what they might just need to get back into the game.
