'The Blacklist: Redemption' Season 1 Episode 4 Spoilers: Scottie Tracks Down Tom's Adoptive Parents

Scottie (Famke Janssen) is very close to learning that Tom (Ryan Eggold) is the child she is looking for in the upcoming episode of "The Blacklist: Redemption."

In the episode titled "Operation Davenport," the promo reveals that Scottie has tracked down Tom's adoptive family. In the clip, Tom overhears Scottie's conversation with her friend. They have the files on little Christopher Hargrave. She only needs to pick up a phone and dial the number of the boy's adoptive parents. Tom can only wait for the outcome of the call. He fears that any moment now, his mother will recognize him for who he truly is. Scottie looks nervous now that she is so close to finding her boy. How will she react once she learns that her son has been beside her the whole time?

Tom's decision not to tell Scottie the truth stemmed from a conversation with his father, Howard (Terry O'Quinn). The old man warned him that his mother was up to no good.

In an interview with TV Guide, Eggold said that his character cannot afford to make mistakes. Tom's mission is to find the truth about his family. If Scottie turns out to be the villain that Howard is claiming her to be, it is best to keep her in the dark about his identity. With Scottie determined to track down her lost kid, the chances of her discovering the truth has become huge, though.

"I think more than anything, he's closer than he's ever been in his life to potentially understanding his family and where he comes from, which he's always [wondered]. He was an orphan who became a spy, who traveled the world and went on missions and then took Liz as a job and then ended up falling in love with her, which was very life-changing for him. But I think this is the closest he's ever been to knowing the answers to those questions that have been plaguing him his whole life," Eggold said.

"The Blacklist: Redemption" airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. EDT on NBC.
