'The Blacklist' Season 3 Episode 20 Spoilers: Ex-FBI Agent Elizabeth Keen Finally Laid to Rest

NBC's hit crime fighting drama TV series "The Blacklist" Season 3 returns this week with a brand new and somber episode that will finally see the ex-FBI agent Elizabeth Keen being laid to rest.

According to the synopsis posted over at The Futon Critic titled "The Artax Network," the FBI Task Force will still be reeling over the loss of Liz. However, the devastating events will temporarily be set aside to answer to a pressing matter involving a "mysterious group" whose agents operate using a worldwide satellite network.

A series of promo pictures was shared over at Melty.com. The scenes shown depict some of the moments that are expected to take place in the upcoming episode. The characters appear to be in a funeral, most probably held for Liz. Red is also seen in one of the picture, standing over the grave of the deceased. Like him, everyone looks downcast but fans know too well that it's Red who is more affected with what happened.

The clues hinted on the TFC summary suggest that Red will be taking some time off to deal with his own issues, maybe also to grieve Liz's passing. However, the informant will be pulled right back into action when circumstances force him to "confront a ghost from his past." This person in question is said to hold "many of Red's secrets."

In Episode 19, viewers get to learn more about Red and Liz's mother, Katerina Rostova. The hour revealed that Red had to choose between Katerina and the girl, and he ended up choosing Liz. He took it upon himself to protect Liz and now that she's gone, it would be too hard for him to move on from that fact. Adding more pressure is this "someone" who will be showing up, threatening to expose Red and for who he really is.

Find out how these events unfold when "The Blacklist" Season 3 Episode 20 premieres this Thursday, Apr. 28 at 9 on NBC.
