'The Blacklist' season 3 spoilers: Liz Goes Blond
The preceding season ended in a surprising way when Liz (Megan Boone) learned that she killed her father when she was a little after shooting Tom Conolly (Reed Birney) and running away with Red (James Spader). She officially becomes a fugitive as one of the FBI's most wanted.
The new season will introduce a new villain named Mr. Solomon. "X-Men" alum Edi Gathegi will play the aforementioned character. Gathegi is best known for his role of Darwin in "X-Men First Class." His character is described as secretive, modest, and serene on the surface but has a terrifying hidden capacity for violence beneath it all. He is basically a monster inside a gentleman. He is the hired hand of the Cabal, a "cleaner."
The forthcoming season will pick up where things left off right after Liz and Red go on the run with Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) and the FBI in hot pursuit. Series creator Jon Bokenkamp stated that there will be no time jump and that the first step is to get out of D.C, which is a city that could get locked down in a short amount of time.

The brand-new season will see some very interesting changes. Liz will be sporting a different hairdo as she goes blond and she will start to look like her mother. Bokenkamp explained the important of this change. He said that Liz looking like her mother is just an organic way of telling the story of two fugitives, while tying it to the past and the mythology of Liz and Red. He also said that it leans on the much bigger question of identity.
In the upcoming season, Liz will deal with some challenges after her discovery. Bokenkamp said that Liz has a deep criminal instinct that she has tried to resist for so long, which now comes to the forefront as she goes on the run. Furthermore, he added who she is and what her past is all plays into her survival.
"The Blacklist" will return on Oct. 1 on NBC.
