'The Blacklist' Season 5 Spoilers: Aram and Samar Get Affectionate in Trailer
Aram (Amir Arison) and Samar (Mozhan Marno) will definitely enjoy each other's company in the upcoming season of "The Blacklist."
The trailer for the new installment revealed a brief glimpse of the couple being affectionate. Last season, Aram finally got the courage to tell Samar how he feels. He ended things with girlfriend Janet (Annie Heise) following the big revelation that she was the one who betrayed him. Aram kissed Samar, hoping that she would forgive him for what he did. It looks like she has, considering the way she returned her love interest's embrace in the promo.
While Aram and Samar are busy making up for lost time, Red (James Spader) is struggling to return his empire to its former glory. The FBI does not want to have anything to do with him anymore. Liz (Megan Boone), on the other hand, is eager to help. While in-between assignments, Liz tells her father that she can assist him in his future missions. In the trailer, father and daughter can be seen hunting an informer. Red decidedly looks laidback when Liz is with him.
Meanwhile, the spoilers reveal that season 5 will not be kind to Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff). It is speculated that the FBI will finally discover what truly happened to Laurel Hitchin (Christine Lahti). Last installment, Ressler unintentionally killed her and then asked Henry Prescott (James Carpinello) to clean up after him. Once it is proven that he has something to do with her death, Ressler stands to lose everything.
As for Tom (Ryan Eggold), spoilers reveal that he will soon reunite with his wife and daughter. Tom is supposed to give Liz the mysterious suitcase as part of his promise to Mr. Kaplan (Susan Blommaert), but it looks like he will not, at least at the beginning. The spy is more than curious about the contents of the valise. At the same time, he wants to protect his wife from further heartache in case the suitcase's secrets are finally revealed.
"The Blacklist" season 5 will premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 27, at 8 p.m. EDT on NBC.
