'The Conjuring 2' News: Movie to Feature Supernatural Threat to the Lives of the Warrens
"The Conjuring 2" is just months away from its arriving to the big screen, and this early, moviegoers who find entertainment in getting scared are already looking forward to it. After all, basing on the trailer of the said movie, it seems that the sequel to the 2013 hit bodes well for more horror on the big screen. If there's one thing that makes "The Conjuring 2" more horrifying than the first installment of the film, it is the fact that the lives of the characters who are meant to help victims battle supernatural beings are also put into jeopardy as the poltergeist itself wants them killed.
"They themselves have come under attack… it was compelling and even a little frightening for us," said Vera Farmiga in reference to her character Lorraine Warren and that of Patrick Wilson's Ed Warren character as she spoke at Warner Bros. CinemaCon presentation.
In the first "Conjuring" movie, the Warren couple helped a family whose house had been troubled by different kinds of demonic spirits, which turned out to have been owned originally by a witch. "The Conjuring 2" features the Warrens heading to London to help an embattled family who have been beset with harrowing paranormal experiences. However, as they attempt battling the evil forces, they find out that they are dealing with something much bigger and powerful.
"An oppressing spirit will force you to commit an ultimate sin… murder, suicide, or both," explains Vera's character to the mother of the possessed 11-year old girl as horrifying scenes of what the girl goes through is shown in the latest trailer of the movie.
"I had a premonition of your death. The family is just a pawn. Something inhuman wants to kill you," says Vera's Lorraine Warren character as she warns her husband of the dangers that they have gotten themselves in.
"The Conjuring 2" hits the theaters on June 10.
