'The Deuce' Season 1 Spoilers: An Unexpected Partner Blindsides Vincent in Episode 3

"The Deuce" season 1 episode 3 will see twin brothers Vincent and Frankie, both played by James Franco, at odds with each other. Vincent will get blindsided by an unexpected partner just as he's completing the finishing touches to his new bar.

Vincent sought the help of the mobster Rudy Pipilo (Michael Rispoli) in "The Deuce" season 1 episode 2, which aired last Sunday, Sept. 17, at 9:00 p.m. on HBO. They agreed that they will be targeting construction workers but Pipilo's boss Tommy Longo (Daniel Sauli) is already skimming off from these customers.

Will this be the reason for why Frankie goes ballistic on his twin in the next episode? Is it the mobs' plan to double-cross Vincent all along?

Despite all hitches, however, the upcoming episode of "The Deuce" will see through the Hi-Hat's opening. Vincent's bar will finally operate and it's partly thanks to Big Mike (Mustafa Shakir)'s help.

Abby (Margerit Lavieva), on the other hand, will tell her mom she won't be returning home after school left her unchallenged and unmotivated. Her mom, who grew up privileged, will visit her and assure her that she can reapply next fall after taking a time off, as seen in a preview for the next episode on HBO.

But Abby's real plan is to work make money faster. Only, she'll end up mulling over her job prospects in "The Deuce" season 1 episode 3. Will she consider getting into the porn business when push comes to shove?

Elsewhere, Candy (Maggie Gyllenhaal) will find a way to enter the business of filmmaking while Larry (Gbenga Akinnagbe) will put Darlene (Dominique Fishback) in a tight spot as she has to work extra hours.

"The Deuce" season 1 episode 3, titled "The Principle is All," airs on Sunday, Sept. 24, at 9:00 p.m. EST on HBO. Franco directed this episode from a script by David Simon and Richard Price.
