'The Division' DLC News: Season Pass Details Reveals Three Expansion Packs
Third-person shooter "Tom Clancy's The Division" is close to its March 8 release date and publisher Ubisoft is continuing its effort to sweeten the pie for those who are still thinking of getting the game's Season Pass. According to a report in Digital Trends, Ubisoft has revealed what it plans for the game in terms of new content in the months following the launch of the game.
Those who buy the Season Pass, according to the report, will be getting three expansions in the coming months. According to Ubisoft, the loads of content that players can expect will include new equipment and new weapons, as well as "new types of gameplay that are designed to engage players after they've completed the main portion of 'The Division.'"
The first expansion pack that is arriving is called "Underground," and will have players exploring the depths of the Big Apple with a four-player squad, at most. The second expansion pack called "Survival" is considered a "mini-campaign" which will only be available to those who have completed the main storyline of the game. It is "designed to test the skills of veteran players." The final DLC is titled "Last Stand," details of which have been scarce so far.
Those who purchase the Season Pass before the game's release date will be treated to digital bonuses such as a sawed-off shotgun, character outfits and weapon skins to be released on Day One. The Season Pass includes all three expansions when they're released, together with exclusive in-game content such as the National Guard gear set. In addition to the expansion packs, there will also be monthly events and "scheduled content drops."
Non-season pass holders however will also be receiving free content throughout the year which is said to include new gameplay modes and team-based challenges.
While the Season Pass can be purchased separately, players also have the option to get it bundled with the Gold Edition and the Collector's Edition.
