'The Division' Offered For Free on PC this Weekend

"Tom Clancy's The Division" has garnered the positive attention of the gaming community since it was released early last year. The online only action role-playing video game has recently been announced to be free for PC. The announcement comes just a few months shy of the release of "The Division: Resistance."

According to reports, "The Divison" will be offered for free from Sept. 14 to Sept. 17. Fans are also encouraged to download the game as early as pre-loading it to give the developers enough time to make it ready for the coming weekend. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will not be able to take part in the event, but fans are hoping that Ubisoft will be offering them the same opportunity during the next few weeks.

Furthermore, players who will take part in the free weekend will have full access to the basic content of "Tom Clancy's The Division." They should be able to log on by 1 p.m. EDT on the first day and play to their heart's content until 4 p.m. EDT on Sunday.

Aside from the free weekend coming up, the standard and Gold edition of "The Division" will also go on sale. Although no specific pricing has been announced yet, critics are expecting the game title to gain more players, especially if the discount is worth it.

Ubisoft has also made sure to provide more motivation to purchase "The Division" by announcing that the progress that was made during the free weekend will be transferred over once players decide to pay for it.

To pre-load "Tom Clancy's The Division" players will have to use their Uplay account on PC. While waiting, fans are urged to take a look at the free weekend trailer that was released. It should be able to explain why "The Division" counts as one of the most successful games that Ubisoft has released.
