'The Elder Scrolls 6' News and Updates: New Title Revealed; Will the Game be Released by 2019?
The hit action role playing video game "The Elder Scrolls" has no doubt become one of the biggest franchises in the gaming industry. However, with the last core game released way back in 2010, fans have already been clamoring for the next "The Elder Scrolls 6".
Game Title
Game publisher and developer Bethesda Softworks have always assigned titles for its games in "The Elder Scrolls" series. The last one was titled "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim". This installment had been out for quite some time now, having been released six year ago. There have been at least three major expansion packs for the game though, simultaneously released back in 2012. Now, fans have been asking the developers about the next generation of "The Elder Scrolls 6".

As it happens, Bethesda Softworks might be closer to releasing "The Elder Scrolls 6" than fans might think. Previously, there have been talks that the new installment would be titled "The Elder Scrolls 6: Argonia", but this has now been debunked. Bethesda Softworks vice president Pete Hines had earlier stated in a tweet that the company is not developing the game for now.

However, there has already been some confirmation that the next installment now has a title, although not as exciting. The sixth installment would simply be titled "The Elder Scrolls: VI" in the production period. This may still change though as the development progresses. It has also been confirmed that the upcoming game would not be a sequel to "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim".
Development and Possible Release Date
More than two months have already gone by since the very unpromising tweet by Peter Hines regarding the development of "The Elder Scrolls 6". With this, fans have been thinking about whether the company has already started working on the game. There are already rumors that new progress reports on "The Elder Scrolls 6" will begin rolling in by November of this year.
Right now, there is still no official word on whether the company is actually working on "The Elder Scrolls 6". However, with Hines' word, fans could be assured that the game would eventually be released in the future.
Bethesda Softworks is currently bombarded by their other projects. There's the "Skyrim", "Call of Duty" and "Fallout" franchises, to name a few, that also have sequels or expansions on the line. These games currently have timelines set until 2017. Given this, fans could only hope that the most optimistic situation would be that the company could start developing "The Elder Scrolls 6" by 2018, and then ultimately release the game by 2019.
