When it comes to "The Elder Scrolls 6," the question really is about when it will be released and not if it ever will be.
That's good news of course for the many fans of this long-running fantasy role-playing game franchise. The sequel is indeed still coming, but what players may not be as excited about is the long wait they may have to go through before they are actually able to even get their first look at this game.
It is quite telling that in a recent interview with Polygon, Bethesda's Todd Howard did not talk much about the sequel. A short line about how the game is "working its way through development, but is unlikely to be seen any time soon" is about all fans got in the way of an update.

That revelation isn't anything new either. The folks over at Bethesda have not been shy about saying that "The Elder Scrolls 6" is not coming out anytime soon, though that has not really kept fans from still asking about it.
Just recently, Bethesda vice president for PR and marketing Pete Hines was even asked over on Twitter about what the setting of this game would be. Hines offered no clear answer for the question, which is not surprising. But will that change anytime soon?
It's clear that the lack of new information hasn't really done that much to adversely affect how excited fans are about the sequel and that could actually be helpful to the developers.
Excitement for this upcoming game has remained at a consistently high level for a while now, and that's unlikely to change even if it doesn't show up within the next year or so, which gives developers more than enough time to make sure that what they deliver will live up to expectations.
Fans waiting for "The Elder Scrolls 6" will just have to keep themselves comfortable, because it simply doesn't look as though this sequel is already on its way.
