'The Escapists 2' DLC Release Date: 'Wicked Ward' Expansion Now Out for Halloween
Fans can now get into Halloween spirit with "Wicked Ward," the brand-new downloadable content (DLC) for "The Escapists 2."
In this expansion, gamers will have to outrun a mad scientist and the army of zombies he created in a locked off wing of an abandoned hospital. The official description reads:
Things have taken a strange turn in the locked off wings of an abandoned hospital. A mad scientist and his hoard of undead guard their territory within the gothic halls. Outside an ominous sky of thunder, rain and lightning blankets the surrounding woods. Once again, you'll have to craft, fight and scheme your way to freedom from this eerie supernatural slammer.

"The Escapists 2: Wicked Ward" DLC adds a brand new horror-themed map that players will have to break away from as well as customizations and outfits in addition to new items and craftable pieces to get into full Halloween mode.
As suggested above, the only goal players have in this expansion is to escape. Of course, this will be far from an easy feat not only because of the fast-running added after them but also wolves and ghosts roaming around the vicinity.
"Wicked Ward" is only second DLC made available for "The Escapists 2," which was released just last August. The first one titled "Glorious Regime Prison" came out the same day the game did.
In this DLC, players will have to deal with a compliment-fishing leader as they attempt to escape a compound hidden deep in the jungle.
While zombies will not be an issue here, getting out is still as difficult and dangerous a task with "unquestioningly devoted guards, constant surveillance, and the illustrious Leader himself" keeping an eye out.
As for "The Escapists 2: Wicked Ward" DLC, players can now pick it up for $2.99. Users are liking the experience so far based on the reviews on Steam.
