'The Flash' Season 2 Episode 11 Spoilers: Barry Comes Up Against the Reverse-Flash Again
The Reverse-Flash (Matthew Letscher) is back in Central City, and Barry (Grant Gustin) has to face his nemesis one more time.
Fans wonder how the show will bring back the Reverse-Flash, since viewers can remember that he's been killed off during the finale of "The Flash" season 1. While Carter Matt said that this Reverse-Flash may simply be just an Earth-2 version of the villain, some reports say that there might be more to this character's return.
According to the website, the Reverse-Flash who will appear in next week's episode may possibly be a speedster that has now mastered traversing through time. This means that the returning villain may be the same person that Eddie Thawne (Rick Cosnett) killed, but managed to come back by weaving back through time. These are all just fan theories, so viewers still have to wait until next Tuesday to see if this is a brand-new villain from Earth-2, or someone from Barry's past that is just returning.
In the sneak peek released for the upcoming episode, viewers saw Eobard Thawne, the Reverse-Flash's alter ego, telling Barry that he's the one that The Flash cannot stop. It was indeed a challenge for Barry to stop him before in the first season of the show, and fans wonder if he will finally be able to end the Reverse-Flash completely this time.
An episode summary was posted on Spoilers Guide, and it reads, "When Cisco (Carlos Valdes) gets a vibe of Eobard Thawne (guest star Matthew Letscher), Barry (Grant Gustin) and the team don't believe it. But, after an attack at Mercury Labs, Christina McGee (guest star Amanda Pays) confirms that the Reverse Flash is back. Meanwhile, Iris (Candice Patton) and Francine (guest star Vanessa A. Williams) share a nice moment that brings Iris closer to her brother, Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale)."
The episode, which is titled "The Reverse-Flash Returns," was directed by Michael Allowitz and was written by Aaron Helbing and Todd Helbing.
Watch "The Flash" season 2 episode 11 next Tuesday, Jan. 26, on The CW network.
