'The Flash' Season 2 Episode 17 Spoilers: Desperation Pushes Barry to Find Answers From the Past

Last week's showing of The CW's hit superhero drama TV series "The Flash" Season 2 dropped a big shocker, at least for Barry, Cisco, Caitlyn and the rest of the STAR Labs Team.

Spoiler alert for those who missed it, Barry took notice of that familiar blue lightning emanating from that hour's foe, Trajectory.

This so happens when Eliza Harmon, a friend of Caitlin, succeeded to make the Velocity 9 and gave herself a taste of its speed-enhancing effects. Trouble quickly ensued when she held everyone at STAR Labs to produce more of the drug and then uses it to wreak havoc all throughout Central City. Finally, she was apprehended by The Flash. But instead of giving up, Trajectory, as she is now called, speeds off away from Barry. As the two speedsters race, Barry noticed Trajectory manifesting a key feature of Zoom. Back at the lab, Cisco vibed Jay's helmet and there the bombshell dropped.

Now that he knows who is he after for, Barry becomes even more desperate to increase his speed. One of the solutions he thought of is to ask the wisdom of his old enemy, the Reverse-Flash.

According to The Futon Critic's synopsis for "Flash Back," the Scarlet Speedster will travel back in time and masquerade as his earlier self to get Dr. Harrison Wells/Eobard Thawne aka The Yellow Flash, to teach him how to run faster.

The promo video for the episode however hinted that his trip back won't be that easy. First off, he will have to deal with another familiar enemy, Hartley Rathaway of Rathaway Tech. Furthermore, he will need to muster a very convincing statement to let the past Dr. Wells give him what he need. Adding complication is the hint that the Reverse-Flash may already know the Flash that he will be dealing with.

"You're from the future," the Season 1 villain said.

Find out how these events unfold when "The Flash" Season 2 Episode 17 premieres this Tuesday, Mar. 29 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
