'The Flash' Season 2 News, Update: Jay Garrick Warns Barry Of A Great Danger Coming to The World

The wormhole cliffhanger in the Season 1 finale of The CW's hit superhero drama TV series "The Flash" is expected to bring a lot of complications for the inhabitants of Central City when the second season kicks off next month.

Earlier this week, a new teaser promo posted by the network revealed, for the first time, Teddy Sear's Jay Garrick, talking to the smart crew at STAR Labs.

For those who missed it, Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) accidentally opened a wormhole when he decided to travel back in time and sort out the crime he witnessed back when he was a child. The deed resulted to the disruption of the time continuum and the arrival of the first Flash was just but one of the manifestations.

"My name is Jay Garrick, and your world is in danger," the speedster with the winged helmet said in the video. The statement prompted a question from Cisco (Carlos Valdes): "What other worlds are there?"

As further divulged by the character in the clip, Barry created a portal in Central City which gives way for villains and heroes alike to come to the city.

"If he got through," Garrick pointed out to this season's new big bad, Atom-Smasher (Adam Copeland), "more others will follow." For the uninitiated, Atom-Smasher has the ability to control his size, strength and power.

During the Fall TV Show Preview Q&A Segment with TVLine, executive producer Gabrielle Stanton gave hints on what to expect when the show returns to the small screens. The EP teased that Harrison Wells/Eobard Thawne (Tom Cavanagh) "will be back" but not the professor that "we have seen before."

When probed further as to how the character will make his comeback, the showrunner only explained that in the DC Universe, "we've got other worlds" and that "we've got other timelines."

"All I'm going to say is he's from one of those places," Stanton said (via TVLine).
