'The Flash' Season 4 Episode 5 Spoilers: Caitlin Ruins Iris' Party

Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) is not in the mood to celebrate her friends' engagement in the upcoming episode of "The Flash."

In the episode titled "Girls Night Out," the synopsis reveals that the girls will host a bachelorette party for Iris (Candice Patton). Felicity (guest star Emily Bett Rickards) will even come to Central City to show how happy she is with Iris and Barry's (Gran Gustin) upcoming wedding. Barry will also have his own bachelor party with the boys. Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Joe (Jesse L. Martin) have planned something exciting for the future groom.

While her friends are celebrating, Caitlin will be somewhere, worrying about her future. Her old boss, Amunet (guest star Katee Sackhoff), will reportedly contact her, leaving an ominous threat. Caitlin is scared that her past actions as Killer Frost will come back to haunt her. When she let the darkness take over, she had done a lot of unspeakable things. Caitlin's preoccupation with the problem will make her miss a milestone in her friend's lives, but the promo shows it is better she does not attend.

In the clip, the girls are having a good time when a man suddenly approaches their table. Felicity thinks he is a waiter, but she will soon change her mind when his eyeball falls into her wine glass. Chaos will soon ensure, with Iris beating up the intruder with a silver tray. In Barry's side of things, Cisco and Joe are getting worried about his loose tongue. With the red speedster obviously drunk, he sees no reason not to reveal his true identity as the Flash.

Last episode, the series finally introduced the Elongated Man (Hartley Sawyer) and revealed that he was no friend of Barry's. Showrunner Andrew Kreisberg spoke to TVLine about the character's addition to the show.

"We really wanted to bring somebody in and have it feel like something new and something different and something you hadn't seen a lot of on television. And not just his skill set, but also that character," said Kreisberg.

"Shows that have seven years or eight years or nine years, they always have that new character come in around Season 3 or 4 or 5 that helps take you through their way. Obviously they're not similar characters, but I'm thinking about like Faith on Buffy. That was sort of our hope for Ralph," the director added.

"The Flash" season 4 airs Tuesdays, at 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
