'The Fosters' Season 4 Episode 20: Robert Throws in the White Flag on Callie's Case
Callie (Maia Mitchell) and her father, Robert (Kerr Smith), are very close to giving up in the upcoming episode of "The Fosters."
In the episode titled "Until Tomorrow," the synopsis (according to TV Guide) reveals that Callie will have no choice but to go to jail. She will either have to take a plea deal, which means going to prison for three years, or go to trial. The latter choice poses a huge risk of a longer sentence. Even though Robert hired the most expensive lawyers for his daughter, it looks like he cannot change her fate. Callie will have to pay for her moment of indecisiveness and there is nothing more Robert can do about it.
Callie's predicament in the entire season has led to this impasse. Because she was so determined to find Mrs. Johnson's true killer, she put herself in danger. An accident led to a felony case and it has been downhill from then on. Because of her preoccupation with the investigation, she lost AJ (Tom Williamson). They broke up because he could not understand why she would not share things with him. Callie then sought comfort from Aaron (Elliot Fletcher), which he readily gave. They appeared to have formed a relationship, but viewers get the idea that it will not last long.
Meanwhile, one of the Fosters who is also in trouble is Jesus (Noah Centineo). He finally learned that Emma (Amanda Leighton) was pregnant with their child. It was revealed that Mariana (Cierra Ramirez) had been leaving cryptic posts about her best friend's pregnancy. However, Emma got an abortion not so long ago. She was not ready to become a mother, and she and Jesus always fought because of his temper. Last episode, he told his father, Gabe (Brandon Quinn), that he has stopped taking his medicines. When Stef (Teri Polo) and Lena (Sherri Saum) discovered the truth, Jesus flipped out.
"The Fosters" season 4 airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EDT on Freeform.
