What happened in the last episode?
Per Vulture, the eighth episode of the LGBT-themed family series showed Mariana (Cierra Ramirez) dealing with the stress of her robotics competition and relationship drama with Nick (Louis Hunter). Her struggles paid off when she and the rest of the girls in her team emerged victorious in the competition.
Moreover, the police visited Callie (Maia Mitchell) to remind her to stop harassing Patrick Molloy (Chad Todhunter), the suspected sex offender involved in Kyle's (Adam Irigoyen) case. Despite the warning, Callie did not listen to the authorities' warning and proceeded with her investigation. With the help of Aaron (Elliot Fletcher), she later located the house of the suspect and started looking around, risking her own safety.
However, Stef (Teri Polo) and Brandon (David Lambert) had a heart-to-heart conversation. Brandon realized that he should not be distracted by Cortney (Denyse Tontz) and Mason (Benjamin Freitas) as he gears up for his Julliard audition.
