During The Game Awards on Dec. 3, many games revealed their world premiere trailers, including "Uncharted 4," "Far Cry Primal," the Xbox One exclusive "Quantum Break," and the Oculus Rift game "Rock Band VR." Learn more about them and their latest released footages below.
"Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" world premiere trailer reveals a new character
Naughty Dog, developer of "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End," wasn't at The Game Awards, but the game studio did send over its world premiere video (below).
The video introduces a new character, Nadine Ross, who is played by Laura Bailey. Bailey lent her voice to bioterrorist Abigail Walker, a.k.a Fetch, in "inFamous: Second Son."
"The Thief's End" is a PlayStation 4 exclusive that will release on March 18.
"Quantum Break" releases April 5
"Quantum Break's" world premiere video (below) was introduced by the game's protagonist Jack Joyce himself, played by Hollywood actor Shawn Ashmore.
The game fuses live action show with its gameplay. The story has to do with time breaking and Joyce having to deal with his newfound powers of manipulating time.
"Quantum Break" was first announced in 2013. It will finally release as an Xbox One exclusive on April 5, 2016.
"Far Cry Primal" footage shows Stone Age animals as key to the game
Ubisoft showed off its world premiere footage (below) for "Far Cry Primal."
The game is set in the Stone Age, and players will take on the character of Takkar, the "beastmaster." Takkar's story has to do with getting separated and then finding his way to his hunting party, reports Ars Technica.
A total of 14 animals like the saber-toothed cat, bear, and wolf can be tamed and placed under Takkar's command. These beasts will be Takkar's greatest weapons, although he has the usual assortment of clubs, spears, and bows and arrows.
"Far Cry Primal" is scheduled to release on Feb. 23 on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and March 2016 for the PC.
"Rock Band VR" lets players live out their ultimate rock fantasy
Palmer Lucky, founder of Oculus Rift, has finally made his most-anticipated announcement during The Game Awards. With the release of its world premiere trailer (below), he revealed "Rock Band VR," a game that places players in the shoes of a rock band member.
"Rock Band VR" is a collaboration between Oculus and Harmonix, the developer of the original "Rock Band." The game is exclusively made for virtual reality, and it will arrive on the Oculus Rift in 2016.
