'The Gifted' Season 1 Episode 4 Spoilers, News: Mutants Go On Offensive For Reed and Polaris

"The Gifted" season 1 episode 4 will raise the stakes for the mutants living underground. They will emerge from the shadows together to go head to head against the Sentinel Services in order to free Polaris (Emma Dumont) and Reed Strucker (Stephen Moyer) from prison.

Siblings Lauren (Natalie Alyn Lind) and Andy (Percy Hynes White) will combine their powers for the first time to ensure that the rescue succeeds in the episode called "eXit Strategy." The sister and brother team will be determined to do this right in order to save their dad.

"They need to be able to stop a prisoner transport that's moving and they don't really have any way to do it that isn't going to expose everyone to danger," show creator Matt Nix stated. "The Strucker children figure out if they can use their powers together, they might be able to pull off what everybody else can't do."

Before the mutants launch its attack and rescue, however, Eclipse (Sean Teale) will seek out his past in order to help the group. Will he succeed in obtaining the information he needs to save his friends and rescue his pregnant girlfriend Polaris?

Meanwhile, being a mutant isn't illegal in "The Gifted" but they could go to prison for using their powers in public. The ones in the underground have been hiding from the Sentinel Services because they have used their powers in different instances, sometimes through no fault of their own.

The Stucker siblings revealed their powers when Andy could no longer control the bullying in school and his sister only helped to protect him. Since then, the family has been on the run from the authorities but they got separated from their dad, who used to lawyer for the Sentinel Services.

Will they finally be reunited in "The Gifted" season 1 episode 4? Watch the episode unfold on Monday, Oct. 23, at 9:00 p.m. on FOX.
