'The Grinder' Season 1 Cast News: 'Entourage' Actress Joins Rob Lowe-starred Series

Fox's upcoming single-camera legal comedy TV series "The Grinder" is now close to premiering and new casting updates indicates actress Emmanuelle Chriqui joining the show.

In a report from Entertainment Weekly, it was revealed that the "Entourage" actress will appear as a guest star on the series' third and fourth episodes. She debuts "in the show within the show" which stars Rob Lowe as the actor named Dean Sanderson who is famous for playing the character Mitch Grinder on a show that is also called "The Grinder."

According to earlier plot reports, the show follows the TV-actor on his journey back at his hometown after his long-running TV series got suddenly cancelled. It was found out that his family are actually real-life lawyers running an actual law firm. His experience in the field portraying the legal profession pushes Lowe's character to believe that he could be a great addition to the family business.

Chriqui, meanwhile, plays the part of Addison Cross, "a fiery lawyer at Mitch's firm with whom he's having a torrid romance," the site said. The 37-year-old Canadian big screen and TV actress is best known for her role as Sloan McQuewick in the aforementioned HBO series. She also appeared as the love interest in Adam Sandler's 2008 film, "You Don't Mess With the Zohan." On TV, she plays the character of Lorelei Martins in "The Mentalist" and also in the TNT drama "Murder in the First."

"The Grinder," which was picked up to series on May 8, 2015 and will arrive to the small screens on September 29, is also slated to feature the acts of Fred Savage as Stewart Sanderson, Mary Elizabeth Ellis as Debbie, William Devane as their father and head of the firm, Natalie Morales as Claire, Hana Hayes as Lizzie, and Connor Kalopsis as Ethan, just to name a few.
