The Hunger Games: 'Mockingjay Part 1' Motion Poster Released
A motion poster for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 was released earlier today to promote the upcoming film.
It features the Mockingjay pin made famous in the first installment of the series and it morphs into the bird from "Catching Fire." Its final transformation shows it flapping its wings against a fiery backdrop ending with its appendices fully spread.
The tagline for the film also appears in the video and reads "Fire burns brighter in the darkness."
Jennifer Lawrence was recently photographed on the set of "Mockingjay" wearing a blue hooded outfit.
The Mockingjay book will be split into two films so it is unclear which one the picture shows the actress filming. Lawrence rocks a long blue robe-like outfit with a Druid hood covering her head.
The "Mockingjay" movies are based on the third book by Suzanne Collins in the Hunger Games series with the first being the original and the second which is titled "Catching Fire."
The book hit stores back in 2010 and its story concludes the adventure of Katniss Everdeen that begins in the original Hunger Games. Her story will be split into two films with the first of them scheduled to release in theaters in November. The sequel will come out shortly after.
Jennifer Lawrence will reprise her role as Everdeen and other stars from the previous films including Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson will also return for the final two installments.
The original "Hunger Games" released in 2012 grossed close to $700,000,000 at the box office while the first sequel "Catching Fire" made just under $870,000,000.
The final two "Mockingjay" movies are highly anticipated by fans and will most likely go on to gross even more than their predecessors. The fictional novels have also been extremely successful, especially after the story exploded in popularity with the release of the movies.
