'The Huntsman: Winter's War' Movie News: Movie's Third Trailer Out

A new trailer for "The Huntsman: Winter's War" has been released, stirring up excitement for those awaiting its release next month.

The new film starring Chris Hemsworth serves both a prequel and sequel of sorts to the 2012 "Snow White and the Huntsman," which was also top-billed by Hemsworth and Kristen Stewart. The upcoming movie draws a bead on unveiling the origin story of Hemsworth's Huntsman.

"… Long before the evil Queen Ravenna (Charlize Theron) was thought vanquished by Snow White's blade, she watched silently as her sister, Freya (Blunt), suffered a heartbreaking betrayal and fled their kingdom. With Freya's ability to freeze any enemy, the young ice queen has spent decades in a remote wintry palace raising a legion of deadly huntsmen—including Eric (Hemsworth) and warrior Sara (Chastain)—only to find that her prized two defied her one demand: Forever harden your hearts to love," goes a portion of the movie's synopsis.

Upon Freya's learning that her sister has died, she commands her remaining soldiers to retrieve the Magic Mirror and bring it to her. However, things can only get more chaotic in the enchanted land as Freya discovers that her sister can actually be resurrected. With the combined forces of the powerful sisters and their growing army, a victorious revenge is almost certain, unless Hemsworth's Eric and Chastain's Sara challenge them.

Cinema Blend notes that the trailer, though, suggests that Eric and Sara will get help from a team in their quest to subdue the plans of Queen Ravenna and Freya, and the help will come from the dwarfs. It also opined that there is a big possibility for the movie to introduce new dwarf characters as those actors that played the ones featured in "Snow White and the Huntsman" were unable to return.

"The Huntsman: Winter's War" is helmed by Cedric Nicolas-Troyan. Its latest trailer seems to suggest that it will have a different tone as compared to its predecessor, "Snow White and the Hunstman," which many viewers found dull and boring. Some observers note that the cast alone is already a reason to look forward to the movie.
