'The iDOLM@STER Side M' Episode 3 Spoilers: Can 315 Production's Units Continue to Shine?
While the premiere episode may have primarily focused on the formation of the three-man unit, Dramatic Stars, the fictional talent agency, 315 Productions, has a lot more diversified units to offer on the Japanese music-themed anime series, "The iDOLM@STER Side M."
However, the problem with such a diversified group is the number of strong-minded people in it who hopes to express their own individual personalities and charms. Luckily, this was an issue that was handled calmly and in the best possible way during the series' second episode.
Right in the middle of these groups is a hardworking producer who wants nothing more than to provide each of them with the proper training, exposure, and overall attention in order to help them grow and eventually debut into the Japanese music scene. And instead of telling the guys what not to do, he has managed to make them think of how an idol group should look like on their own.
With Jupiter's continuing success, the newly formed units at 315 Productions can hardly wait to get their own musical journeys started. But they are also all willing to take every necessary step to get to the same live stage as Jupiter. Will they be able to keep it together amidst the many challenges and pressures that are waiting on their path?
Their producer seems to have the heart for his job, but is he really capable enough to lead these units toward becoming bona fide idol groups in the long run?
315 Productions is all about letting their talents freely express themselves and does not seem very particular about forcing them into an already set image of how an idol should be.
The unit, Beit, was a group of kids that the producer found at a shopping district, and even has Pierre, who is a prince of an unidentified country, in their crew. HighxJoker were all members of a Light Music Club at the same high school. On the other hand, S.E.M. is a unit composed of previous high school teachers, while the members of the aforementioned Dramatic Stars used to be a pilot, a lawyer, and a surgeon.
What kind of musical fate awaits such a diverse group of would-be idols as they grow and improve together and eventually learn what it truly means to be an idol?
