'The iDOLM@STER Side M' Episode 4 Spoilers: Who Is Kaoru's Primary Inspiration?

The three-man unit, Dramatic Stars, has finally made their debut, an event that caused one of its members to reveal his biggest weakness. But now that Tsubasa has managed to move past this issue, will the Dramatic Stars continue riding the path towards their success on the Japanese music-themed anime series, "The iDOLM@STER Side M"?

Dramatic Stars is composed of three guys who were formerly a pilot, a lawyer, and a surgeon. But while one might think that their experiences in their past fields would've already built their confidence in undertaking any challenge that comes their way, an event in Tsubasa's past failure as a co-pilot caused the up-and-coming idol to spiral into desolation.

It seemed that Tsubasa was the kind of guy who found it hard to move on after one failure, but with the help of his co-members, Kaoru and Teru, he was able to move past that particular point in his past, move on from his most recent failure during their debut, and once again regain the motivation he needed to once again become an invaluable member of Dramatic Stars.

The episode also showed, once again, the dolphin bracelet that Kaoru was holding in a past scene and had now put on before their rehearsals. What significance does this bracelet have to Kaoru's life, and what kind of experience could he be drawing his motivations from? Could the bracelet be a gift from someone, or could it be the one remaining memento of a special person in his past?

The series continues with the next episode titled "Happy Smile." Will this episode reveal Kaoru's intriguing backstory, or will it instead be featuring another unit's much-anticipated debut?

"The iDOLM@STER Side M" airs on Saturdays at 11:30 p.m. JST on Tokyo MX, BS 11, Gunma TV, and Togi TV. It also airs on Wednesdays at midnight JST on AT-X. Information on other broadcast schedules and online resources can be found on the series' official site. Episodes will also be simulcast in selected regions outside Japan via Crunchyroll.
