'The Incredibles 2' news, cast, spoilers: A peek into the plot of the film

The sequel for Pixar's 2004 animation film "The Incredibles" was just announced in the recent D23 Expo. This has, of course, excited fans of the movie since it has been a while that any news was officially released about the superhit movie.

After the announcement, followed by the official logo of the The Incredibles 2 posted on the Disney official Twitter account, fans can't help but wonder what the sequel has in store for them. According to Movie News Guide, director Brad Bird will be returning to take charge of the sequel. Many hope that this is good news and that the director, after a decade, will still be able to integrate his expertise into the new installment. It is said that Bird has waited so long because he wanted the successor to be worthwhile.

Pixar chief creative boss John Lasseter is quoted saying, "(Brad Bird) has found a really great story. We're just starting to develop it; he's come back now after 'Tomorrowland.' We're really excited about it, but I can't say much more about that."

However, a rumor circulating about the movie's plot revolves around Little Jack. For the fans of the movie, they know him to be the baby in the first film. In the sequel, Little Jack will be all grown-up and is supposed to go on and explore the future, with powers that he will possibly be using for evil, as he will side with the enemy, and eventually face his own family in battle.

Many fans think this is an interesting plot to take on and could be quite plausible, since it can once again relate to the audience on a familial level. If this is indeed true, there might be flashbacks to explain how all this happened and how relationships between parents and siblings fall apart sometimes. Although the sequel is initially good news, fans were quickly dismayed as Bird said that more details will probably be revealed in another two years. There is no set date for the movie as of today.
