'The Last Kingdom' Season 2 Episode 5 Spoilers: Danes Go After Guthrum
"The Last Kingdom" season 2 will be back this week with episode 5, which will see Sigefrid (Björn Bengtsson) and Erik (Christian Hillborg) go after Guthrum (Thomas W. Gabrielsson).
Clearly, the brothers are not thrilled about how he goes around proclaiming himself king after converting to Christianity. To the duo, it is a clear blasphemy to their ancestors.
"He has shamed us all. He has shamed every warrior that has come before us. He ashamed the gods," Erik tells their army in the "The Last Kingdom" season 2, episode 5 promo as his brother looked on pleased and proud of what's about to go down.
"The gods call upon every man gathered here today to avenge them, and avenge them, we will," Erik shouted with utmost enthusiasm.
Sigefrid and Erik are looking to put Guthrum in his place in "The Last Kingdom" season 2, episode 5. Uhtred (Alexander Dreymon) may have done Sigefrid a favor when he chopped off his hand.
He put in its place a knife, which should make him look more menacing. Fans should not be surprised if he increases his body count even more as he tries out his new "hand."
However, what Sigefrid and Erik are planning may just put them in grave danger in "The Last Kingdom" season 2, episode 5. The former already lost one hand. It is likely Uhtred could take his life next if they continue to become a pest.
Unfortunately, this is definitely what they are shaping up to be as they also have their eyes on Alfred (David Dawson), whose peace treaty did not sit well with Sigefrid and Erik.
With the brothers coming after Guthrum, it is expected that the character will finally appear in "The Last Kingdom" season 2 as he has not been in any of the new episodes.
Also with the involvement of Alfred in Sigefrid and Erik's schemes, it is expected that he will put at the forefront this time after taking a bit of a breather in the previous episode.
"The Last Kingdom" season 2, episode 5 airs Thursday, April 13, at 9 p.m. ET on BBC Two.
