'The Last Man On Earth' Season 2: 'Secret Santa' Episode Ends With Melissa Finally Having Feelings

The comedy series "The Last Man on Earth" just recently aired its first Holiday-themed episode. According to Entertainment Weekly, season 2 episode 9 titled "Secret Santa" showed the gang gathering together to kick off the Holiday spirit with a gift exchange activity organized by none other than the perky Carol.

Carol has always been enthusiastic with a lot of things, especially with holidays, and the Christmas season is no exception for her to go all out. The episode even showed Carol standing in front of Gail and Melissa in the living room bursting with Christmas decorations done by her and with Phil's help. Apparently, the two are closer than ever now.

Even though the group was not as excited as Carol was with the Secret Santa activity, everyone eventually softened and joined in the holiday cheer. A.V. Club detailed that the group gave each other interesting and fun gifts. Erica gave Carol a chair from Oprah's studio and Jennifer Lopez's green dress. Todd gave Gail the ZZ Top Eliminator car while Phil gave himself rapper Pitbull's yacht not for sailing but to blow up. The highlight of the exchanging gift was between Phil 2.0 and Erica, with the former giving the latter medical equipment so that she could see her baby.

The other highlight of the episode goes to Melissa for finally having feelings. Overwhelmed with emotions, Melissa proposed to Todd in a romantic moment. Unfortunately, things did not end up with a "yes" as Phil fell to the floor in pain. No one had an idea on what to do with the obviously hurt Phil. There are no doctors and no Internet to at least help them out.

But going back to Melissa and Todd before Phil's interruption, there's a high chance that the surprise proposal would have ended with a "no" because Todd is in a secret relationship with Gail.
