'The Last Man on Earth' Season 3 Episode 14: New Survivor Joins Tandy's Gang in 'Point Person Knows Best'
The Yoda character who photobombed Carol (Kristen Schaal) and Gail's (Mary Steenburgen) family photos by the lake has hitched a ride on the back seat of the survivors' van. How will Tandy (Will Forte) and the rest of the gang deal with this new addition to their family?
After Carol presented the case to everyone else, except for the still unstable Melissa (January Jones), in the previous episode, she, Tandy and Erica (Cleopatra Coleman) went on a hunt in the woods to try and figure out who this new potential companion is. What they saw was a messy cabin with all the evidence of being inhabited by someone between the ages of 8–80 years old, or as Tandy simply put it, a possible "Benjie Buttons," a man-child who's aging backward, like in that famous "novel."
Of course, the novel is really just a short story and the character's name is actually "Benjamin Button," but this did not stop Tandy from naming the unknown masked person Benjie Buttons. And now that Benjie seems to have warmed up to them, and has left them with no choice but to take him or her to their place, how will this new addition affect the group's current dynamics?

The official trailer for the episode shows Carol teasing that it's always the person one least expects. Have they already met this person in the past? Could he or she be a friend or a foe, a man or a woman, a child or an old man?
It also seems that Tandy will be taking charge of helping their new companion adapt to his own surroundings, while Carol grows suspicious of Todd's (Mel Rodriguez) behavior. Could this change in Todd's behavior have anything to do with the identity of their guest? Is Benjie Buttons someone he knows or does his behavioral change have more to do with Melissa's progress, or lack of it, and less about their mysterious guest?
