According to Coming Soon, Maisie Williams, best known for her role as Arya on the HBO series "Game of Thrones," recently shared some details about the film. She explained that there is a possibility that she will be taking on a role in the upcoming "The Last of Us" movie.

She explained that she had lunch with the ones behind the movie, where they talked about her possible role in the upcoming film. It was revealed that she could be playing Ellie, a 14-year-old girl who is immune to the sickness that turns people into zombies. Williams then expressed her excitement for the role.
However, she previously revealed that the project was still in its early phases. She stated, "Honestly I would love to and I think they would love me to play Ellie also, and that's where it is at the moment. There's no script, no director, it's still very early days for the whole project, but if it all goes ahead soon enough I think, yeah, I would love to."
Meanwhile, a recent report from Slash Film revealed that progress has been made. According to the creator of the game, Neil Druckmann, the filming for the series will soon be taking place. He explained, "I just finished a second draft, and we did a table read with a bunch of actors. Pretty faithful to the game. There are some big changes, but the tone and what the story's trying to say is pretty faithful to the game."
