'The Last Ship' Season 4 Episode 7 Spoilers: Chandler Faces Off With an Old Foe
Tom Chandler (Eric Dane) and the crew of the USS Nathan James will encounter a familiar face in the upcoming episode of "The Last Ship."
In the episode titled "Feast," the synopsis (according to TV Guide) revealed that the Navy's reconnaissance mission will continue. Things will take a turn for the worse when Chandler and the others meet an old foe of theirs. This adversary will resurface out of the blue, but it is clear that he is also after the miraculous seeds that have the power to save the entire humanity. In the previous episode, the squad was aggressively pursued by Dr. Paul Vellek (Peter Weller) and his band of mercenaries. It is expected that the scientist will once again try to steal the palm seeds that Captain Mike Slattery (Adam Baldwin) almost lost his life to secure.
The Navy has come to realize that several groups are also after the seeds. When they received a call from a ship in distress last episode, they were naturally concerned. Chandler and the others were suspicious that it might be a trap and they were not disappointed. Amidst the turbulent waters, the Nathan James struggled to reach safety. The crew members were all praying that the seeds would remain safe in their hands. If Vellek or one of their adversaries managed to steal the seeds, they all know it would be the end of mankind.

Meanwhile, the cat-and-mouse chase across the waters of the Mediterranean is expected to continue for the rest the season. Showrunner Steven Kane told Entertainment Weekly that the installment was going to be one epic adventure from start to finish.
"The travelogue aspect of the show is really fun for us, and the Mediterranean was such a tantalizing location for us because it's also the site of one of the first great epics of the sea, which is The Odyssey. And so in some ways, we are telling our version of The Odyssey, of a ship just trying to get home with its crew intact and its mission accomplished. But they face danger at every turn ... We kind of mirror a lot of that storytelling — hopefully subtly, but sometimes overtly," the EP explained to EW.
"The Last Ship" season 4 airs Sundays at 9 p.m. EDT on TNT.
