'The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild' Stone Talus Guide: Discover and Attack the Weak Point of the Stone Talus
Ever since its release, "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" has been getting rave reviews from fans and critics alike. Its open world format allows players to explore the vast land of Hyrule, but they are bound to encounter enemies along the way--including the Stone Talus.
According to iDigitalTimes, the Stone Talus sub-boss comes in many variants. And while this may be overwhelming, it is important to keep in mind that there are certain strategies that players can adopt in order to beat the Stone Talus.
All of the Stone Talus forms have something in common, though. They attack using their arms--and sometimes their limbs--at high speed. Since they are large and made of stone, they can be difficult to avoid. However, a sure way to get to the Stone Talus' weak spot is to first destroy their arms with the use of bombs.
Once the Talus' arms have been destroyed, players should quickly take the opportunity to climb onto the enemy's back. Having their arms demolished will give gamers a small window to do this. Players should then proceed to look for the crystal on the Talus' back--this is the weak point.
The publication notes that certain weapons have a better effect when it comes to breaking the crystal. Things like boulder breakers, cobble crushers, stone smashers and iron sledgehammers are ideal.
Sometimes, though, the crystal is situated on the side of a Talus. If that is the case, players should use spears or other weapons with a long range of attack in order to target the crystal. Climbing onto the Talus' back will not help in this scenario. However, continuous attack of the crystal should get the job done.
