'The Originals' Season 2 Premiere Date, Spoilers: Casting Call for 'Ingrid,' Colin Woodell to Play Werewolf
The producers of "The Originals" are currently casting for a character named Ingrid. The new character will have a prominent story line in the show's upcoming season, and she is supposedly barren and isn't going to stop until she has a baby.
If Ingrid does get a baby -- through supernatural means, perhaps? -- then this will be the second baby to be featured in the show. In season one of "The Originals," it can be recalled that Hayley and Klaus had a hybrid baby. Executive producer Michael Narducci also said that Klaus goes to "a dark place" and has "locked himself away in the compound" after losing his daughter.
As for the baby, Hope, Narducci said that season 2 will explore what she "means to the supernatural world" and what curse is going to be put upon her as the "miraculous hybrid baby."
Klaus's family relationships will also be touched on in the new season, as it will affect what kind of father he will become.
In other news, Colin Woodell, known for his role in "Devious Maids," has been cast as a werewolf named Aiden.
Aiden is a lieutenant in New Orleans' wolf pack. It is said that he will not be opposed to working with witches if they will help him take down the vampires and keep his family safe from them. According to TV Line, Aiden may form a few "dangerous alliances" on the show, and his character will debut on the fourth episode of the new season.
"The Originals" Season 2 will premiere on Oct. 6 on The CW.
