"The Originals" season two is already making waves even though the season two premiere is still weeks away.

Firstly, The CW recently released the season two trailer at "The Originals" Comic-Con panel in San Diego, Calif. The clip starts out with Rebekah narrating a dark bedtime story for Hope, which serves as a recap of season one.

"Look around, this ground zero for a new vampire community," Mikael explains in the over three-minute sneak peek. "I am the vampire who hunts vampires."

Furthermore, the sneak peek reveals a powerful witch believed to be Klaus and Mikael's mother, while their father is a powerful vampire who wields the white oak stake.

"Which of our parents do we kill first," Klaus asks in the end of the clip.

Discussing the upcoming season, executive producer Michael Narducci previewed the themes found in the trailer.

"We talked a lot about the sins of the past coming back to haunt us in the present," he said, according to TVLine, before explaining that fellow "The Originals" EP Julie Plec wanted season two to resemble a dark, twisted fairytale.

"Our heroes are dealing with the return of their monstrous parents and what it means to them," Narducci said.

As for Klaus, Joseph Morgan revealed that his character goes to a "dark place" in season two.

"He's like a caged animal waiting to make his move to seek revenge … He's failing to control his emotions," he said.

For her part, baby Hope will help "The Originals" find out what she "means to the supernatural world and what curse is going to be put upon her" since she is a hybrid child. "The Originals" season two premieres Monday, Oct. 8 on The CW.
