'The Originals' season 3 spoilers: Sire line spells trouble for the siblings; season to feature flashbacks
The last episode ended on a seemingly calm note with Klaus rocking his child Hope. However, that peace will not last long as most of the characters have some sort of score to settle after the events of last season.
The third season will introduce some new characters. Actor Jason Dohring will join the cast as a private eye with a penchant for vampire hunting and there will be two new baddies that will most likely go after Klaus.
Actor Andrew Lees is joining the cast in a recurring role as Lucien, a member of Klaus' sire line. Rebecca Breeds will play Aurora, a malicious and seductive lady, while Oliver Auckland will play another member of the trinity.

The upcoming season will also see the return of Kol, although according to actor Nathaniel Buzolic, it will most likely be in the form of flashbacks. The show promises some crazy events such as catfights, ancient grudge matches, and even werewolf sex.
The first half of the forthcoming season will feature some flashback-heavy episodes where fans will get to see the original Rebekah played by actress Claire Holt, as the show depicts the first 10 years of the Originals' lives.
Fans will get to see more of the sire line in the upcoming season. The Originals have been around for thousands of years and if an original dies, their entire sire line gets wiped out, which was seen in the previous season. The sire lines of the Originals are the season's big bad.
There will also be a custody battle between Klaus and Hayley for their child Hope in the new season. Freya will have more parts in the upcoming season mainly because she will be the one watching and mentoring Hope, while her parents fight.
"The Originals" will return on Oct. 8, 2015 on The CW.
