'The Originals' Season 3 Winter Finale Spoilers, Plot Recap: A Tragic Christmas For Klaus And Camille
The CW's hit supernatural drama "The Originals" aired its mid-season finale episode, titled "Savior," last December 10 and it was another emotional roller coaster that brought the requisite Christmas feels mixed with the usual high drama.
Fans were treated to the much-anticipated Klaus-and-Camille kiss they've been waiting for all season. Unfortunately, just when everything seems to be going well, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) wakes up post-makeout-session to Aurora (Rebecca Breeds) saying, "Here's to an even better tomorrow!" and Camille (Leah Pipes) with her throat slashed.
Just as Pipes said in an interview with TV Line, Klaus' kiss may have led to Camille's end in "Savior." Before the winter finale aired, the actress talked about the buildup to the Klaus-Cami kiss, saying, "I think there's a soulmate element with the two of them, and you don't take that lightly." She added: "Sometimes, when you really like a guy, you think that if you ever kiss him, that'll be it for you. Your life will be over, because you'll be admitting to everything."

Pipes also told TV Line that Aurora is "definitely not done with Cami," which also proved to be true in the recent episode. Just after Camille wakes up, looking startled, the scene cuts to Tristan (Oliver Ackland) checking in on Aurora who, looking very pleased with herself, says that it has been a "beautiful day."
But could this really be the end for Camille? Has the Klaus-Cami relationship ended so soon after it began? The last moments of "Savior" showed that Camille had lost quite a lot of blood, but perhaps it's not too late for her. Will Klaus ask Vincent (Yusuf Gatgewood) to revive his beloved? Did Camille die with vampire blood in her? Will the second half of Season 3 show fans a re-animated Camille? Or was the Klaus-Cami love story doomed to be short-lived?
The 2016 return date for "The Originals" Season 3 has yet to be announced.
