'The Originals' Season 4 Premiere Set for March 17; Hayley Fights for Family
After a long wait, fans of The CW's "The Vampire Diaries'" spin-off, "The Originals," can expect for the fourth season of the supernatural series to air by March 17. And since that is more or less a month away, the show released its first ever teaser poster featuring Haley (Phoebe Tonkin) and Klaus Mikaelson's (Joseph Morgan) little girl with dead ravens around her and the words "Evil walks with us... Always and forever."
Needless to say, the dark-themed poster signals bleak times ahead for the characters. Fans will now see Klaus's daughter, Hope, as a grown-up played by Summer Fontana.
During an interview with TVLine, executive producer Michael Narducci explains that Hope inherited her mother's street smarts but could also display some of her father's traits when it comes to her temper and "willingness to do whatever it takes to protect her family."
Season 4 will reportedly pick up five years after the events of season 3, where Klaus is contained in the French Quarter and will constantly battle with his emotions this season.
Hayley, meanwhile, will be on a mission to to bring her family back together. However, she may encounter difficulties since she needs to face Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) and Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood). Though both are not exactly in alliance as of the moment, the events could turn towards that direction in the upcoming season.
In the meantime, Vincent was successful about his plans to build a church, which stayed open throughout the five missing years of the show. As to how this exactly affects the New Orleans town could be explained in greater detail when the new season comes.
As for Camille (Leah Pipes) and Davina (Danielle Campbell) who died during the previous season, it is speculated that one or both of them could reappear in season 4. Camille is rumored to have a short-term appearance this season, while Davina might be brought back to life considering that her death was due to a magic spell.
Catch "The Originals" season 4 every Friday, starting March 17, 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
