'The Originals' Season 5 Spoilers: Candice King Releases First Klaroline Reunion Photo
Candice King teased the upcoming Klaroline reunion for "The Originals" season 5.
The actress who portrays the role of Caroline Forbes in the original "The Vampire Diaries" series posted a behind-the-scenes photo on Twitter, where she posed with actor Joseph Morgan.
In "The Originals," Caroline first met Morgan's character Klaus Mikaelson when he asked one of his sired hybrids Tyler Lockwood (Michael Trevino) to bite her. Klaus healed her and developed strong feelings for her. However, the two had to go on separate ways since Klaus has to stay with his family in New Orleans while Caroline belongs to Mystic Falls with her family and friends.

Caroline was last seen in the series finale of "The Vampire Diaries," where she opened up a new boarding school with the help of her friends. Klaus, on the other hand, faced a tricky situation where he and his siblings faced a very powerful entity called The Hollow to save his daughter Hope in the final episode of "The Originals" season 4.
Due to King's post, fans of both "The Vampire Diaries" and "The Originals" were thrilled with the possibility of seeing the former lovers together. However, details about the characters' reunion are still under wraps.
There are also no reports yet regarding the number of episodes that King will appear in for the spin-off's fifth and final season, but fans are reportedly hoping to see more of Klaroline encounters when the series returns next year.
Meanwhile, Morgan shared his hopes for the plot of the final season of the supernatural drama spin-off in an interview with Us Weekly. According to the actor, he wanted to see a satisfying end where all the characters of the show will end in a peaceful state.
"But right now it's utter turmoil and betrayal and bloodshed and the good stuff it normally is. We'll see, I don't know, I've only read up until episode 7. So I've got six more to read, so I don't know how it's going to end," the actor also said.
The CW will air the fifth and final season of "The Originals" in 2018.
