'The Originals' Season 5 Spoilers, Plot Rumors: Klaus and Caroline to End Up Together?
Joseph Morgan and Candice King were spotted together on "The Originals" set in Atlanta, which could mean that their characters end up happily ever after in season 5.
Speculations sparked that Klaus and Caroline will be rekindling their love for good when they were spotted in "The Originals" production in Atlanta for their season 5 finale. TVGuide confirmed that the cast finished filming for the upcoming season's big finish this week, and one of those scenes included a Klaus and Caroline reunion.
The photo of Klaus and Caroline spotted together was posted on Instagram by user @kizerandbender. In the photo, Klaus and Caroline were by each other's side while a celebration of Mardi Gras was happening.
Although there's no guarantee that Morgan and King's scene together is the last in series, seeing Klaus and Caroline back in each other's arms offers hope to all the Klaroline fans that both of them will find happily ever after.
Meanwhile, Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Rebekah (Claire Holt) were also seen on set in Atlanta filming for a few final scenes for season 5.
This could mean that the Mikaelsons will conquer the Hollow, who cursed the three siblings to keep them separated at all times, and will soon have a reunion after all the hardships they faced while apart.
However, the Hollow won't be the only villain that the Mikaelsons will take care of in season 5.
According to TVLine, executive producer Julie Plec teased that there will be a season 5 big bad that is more complex than the Hollow.
"The Big Bad this year is launched from an ideology more so than one singular person's nefarious desire," the showrunner revealed.
"It's an ideology that was spawned almost a century ago, a movement that has been simmering and stewing over that century. It does have a personal connection to the Mikaelson family, but it also has a thematic resonance that is very timely," Plec added.
Season 5 of "The Originals" is slated to premiere in spring 2018.
