'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' Season 7: Episode 18 Recap 'Housewife Interrupted'
Last Sunday on "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," Phaedra Parks finally decided to divorce her husband, and the drama continues as the other ladies stick around to finish the group counseling session with Dr. Jeff.
Phaedra talks to her friend Sarah, the daughter of Bishop T.D. Jakes, about her problems with Apollo. In her confessional, Phaedra explains why she chose to confide in Sarah instead of Nene or Kandi.
"We have a God connection," said Phaedra. "I feel like I can be totally transparent because I know she doesn't have an ulterior motive."
Phaedra is in tears as she tells Sarah that she wanted to be a perfect wife, but Apollo was being mean and hurtful.
"I said I would support him through criminal trouble," said Phaedra. "I should have probably left then."
The next day, Phaedra meets with her fellow attorney and mentor Ronnie Kaplan to get advice on how she needs to proceed with the divorce. Ronnie tells her that her sons need to have "as much contact as possible with their dad." Phaedra is not so sure about this because she doesn't want to expose her sons to "a roomful of killers."
Later, Ronnie tells Phaedra that she can file for divorce even though Apollo isn't around.
"We'll get through it," he assures her. "It's a sad time. A divorce is a death. A death of a relationship."
Meanwhile, though Nene stormed out of the group therapy session, the other ladies agreed to stick around and work things out. Porsha calls out Kenya and Claudia for their accusations that Porsha slept with a married man. Claudia admits that it was wrong to say that, and she apologizes to Porsha.
Kenya took responsibility for the fight in Puerto Rico and for provoking Porsha, and Porsha is grateful to move on.
And though Nene left, the ladies still want to make things right with her, so Kandi suggests that they send a video to her.
Claudia reached out on her own to Dr. Jeff via Skype as she truly wants to be part of the group in a healthy way, so he encourages her to organize a trip in the name of healing. Claudia and Porsha take on the responsibility to tell their friends that they're all going to Manila.
"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" airs on Sundays at 8 p.m. on Bravo.
