'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' Season 7 News: Episode 5 'Friend or Faux' Recap

On last Sunday's episode of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," viewers got to know a little more about new cast member Claudia Jordan, Kandi and Todd are mad at Joyce, and later, NeNe, Phaedra, Kandi, Cynthia and Kenya meet up in an attempt to settle their differences.

Claudia has a new place, and she invites Kenya over to show it off. They begin setting up the furniture while sipping wine out of red Solo cups. Later, the two head to the gym to work out. Claudia opens up and says that she grew up with an Italian immigrant mother and a black father from New York. Her father left when she was young. She revealed that she got made fun of at school for being biracial, and as a result she got into a lot of fights. Though she's close to her grandmother, she says that her mother is distant.

Meanwhile, Kandi and Todd visit the first house that they gave to Kandi's mother, Joyce, and they are furious when they discover that Joyce's boyfriend ripped everything out and left things in a state of disrepair. Kandi is upset because she was planning on selling the house. Todd is angry and tells Kandi that she needs to set rules for her mother, but Kandi says that she can't do it.

Later, Kandi manages to get everyone together to clear the air once and for all. Phaedra arrives first and jokingly suggests to Kandi that they should have "a word of prayer before these heifers get here." Then Cynthia arrives, and Phaedra thanks her for the puzzles she gave to her sons. Kenya and Porsha arrive and exchange hellos with the ladies, then finally, NeNe joins them at the table. Kandi says, "I just wanted us all to smooth things over so that we can move forward, and you know, think about continuing to do things together in the future."

Kenya said that Apollo apologized to her for lying, and she said that she would appreciate if everyone gave her the benefit of the doubt about it. Nene tells Kenya that she never insulted her. Kenya then asks if they could all stop persecuting her, and Phaedra says that she will.

Meanwhile, Nene and Cynthia get into a heated argument, with Cynthia saying that she knows all of NeNe's secrets, and NeNe says she has nothing to hide. Finally, NeNe says to her, "I had your back when nobody else had your back, recall that. And I loved you like a [expletive] sister!"

"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" airs on Sundays at 8 p.m. on Bravo.
