'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' News: Season 5 Premiere Recap
"The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" is back, and in addition to more drama, catfights, and intrigue ahead, the show now has two new housewives— soap stars Lisa Rinna and Eileen Davidson.
Following the tension of last spring's finale, Kyle Richards is seen planning her annual White Party, and this time, Kyle is going all-out. While she's finalizing the guest list and waiting for Lisa Vanderpump to RSVP, Brandi Glanville and Yolanda Foster are seen relaxing at the beach. Brandi says that she wants to stay positive this season. She also says that she hopes Vanderpump accepts the fact that she is a bad person so that they could all move on.
Meanwhile, Vanderpump agrees to meet Kyle for lunch. Kyle is obviously making an effort to mend fences, and while there is obvious tension between the two, they toast to loyalty over an afternoon cocktail.
Viewers are then introduced to Lisa Rinna's family. Rinna is happily married to "Mad Men" actor Harry Hamlin, and they are parents to two teenage daughters. A bit of panic ensues when Harry brings home a rattlesnake to add to their growing menagerie.
At the White Party, Foster and Vanderpump are reunited and even former housewives Camille Grammer, Taylor Armstrong, and Adrienne Maloof are there. Brandi is nervous and complains about the ladies being "75 years old and still rolling their eyes and acting like mean girls."
Rinna shows up and tells Vanderpump how much she loves her, and Vanderpump tells her how much she admires her and Harry. Then, Brandi goes over to Adrienne to ask if they could talk. While Adrienne says that the party isn't the right place for them to clear the air, she accepted Brandi's invitation for a cup of coffee some other time.
"The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
