'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' News: Stars Want Danielle Staub Removed From Series After Racist Rant
Cast members of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" are not too happy after an old audio file of Danielle Staub yelling racist profanities at her ex-boyfriend started circulating online.
According to reports, some of the Housewives are demanding a meeting with the show's producers after one crew member pointed out the footage's existence. The file, which was recorded in 2015, was allegedly from a fight Staub had with her then-boyfriend. Aside from dropping the n-word several times, she also called him a "stupid f***ing Mexican."
It's worth noting that Staub was not a part of the series when the recording was made because she left after the second season. Filming for season 8 has already finished and she has a huge amount of airtime. Even if all her co-stars agree that she should be edited out from the program, cutting around her would not be an easy task. Staub has yet to comment on the issue.
Staub exited "RHONJ" during season 2 after her feud with four other cast members. The reality star made headlines in 2009 when her argument with co-star Teresa Giudice turned into a screaming match, with Giudice even flipping over a table in her anger.
A new sneak peak for season 8 has been released and it shows the ladies' reaction to Staub's comeback.
"I'm going to give her a chance," said Giudice in a new teaser. "But I am a little bit more cautious."
Staub and Giudice have already made amends after the latter's release from prison. Their reunion was documented on their social media accounts. "Am I the only one who thinks she's crazy and this could be a problem? I don't know," Dolores Catania stated in one scene. The Housewives went on to discuss about their fellow "RHONJ" star Kim DePaola over brunch.
"The Real Housewives of New Jersey" season 8 premieres Wednesday, Oct. 4, at 9 p.m. EDT on Bravo.
