The first episode of "Teresa Checks In" showed how the Giudice kids were adjusting to their temporary life without their mom. Giudice, on the other hand, has been trying her best to make it up to Gia, Milania, Gabriella, and Audriana.

As part of the family's efforts to maintain normalcy, they told Gabriella and Audriana that their mom is away to "work." However, Joe spoke to Andy Cohen during the "Watch What Happens Live" episode on Sunday that the kids knew what was going on with their mother, the report relays.

Joe also praised his wife for her talent and involvement in planning for Gia's event. He also described how much she anticipates their weekend visits when she gets to spend time with him and the girls, Radar Online reports.
Her legal counsel Attorney James L. Leonard, Jr. also described Giudice's parenting style from prison.

"I tell Joe she's like a crime boss," People quotes Leonard's statement. "She barks out orders, and if you don't do what she wants, she isn't happy."

Aside from hiring a stylist for Gia and giving her a special necklace for the special occasion, the 43-year-old reality star also called her daughter on that same night. The call touched Gia so much that she broke down in tears.

Teresa Giudice's time in prison has made things very difficult for her family, especially for the girls. However, Leonard said the Giudice family is very strong and that they are coping with the situation very well. Joe Giudice also said his wife's prison sentence helped him step up to the plate and become a "better man" for his family.

"The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Teresa Checks In" airs every Sunday at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
