'The Real Housewives of Orange County' Star Meghan King Edmonds Pregnant With Twins
Meghan King Edmonds will soon be welcoming twins.
On Thursday, "The Real Housewives of Orange County" star took to Instagram to announce she's pregnant with twin boys. She shared a photo of herself with husband Jim Edmonds, one-year-old daughter Aspen and their pup Girly Girl. They posed with a sign that reads: "Our family is growing by four feet and two heartbeats."
Meghan first announced her pregnancy last month. The Bravo celebrity recently caught up with Us Weekly and she explained why she and Jim think Aspen will be excited about their new babies.
"We are very excited to expand our family by two bounding bundles of boys!" said the expecting mom. "Aspen loves our dog, Girly Girl, and all her baby dolls, so we think she'll be excited to be a big sister times two!"
In her pregnancy announcement, Meghan also mentioned they began IVF over the summer. She and her spouse already had two frozen female embryos but they decided to start from scratch because they wanted to have a boy this time.
Meghan was able to produce 10 mature eggs and all of them were fertilized. However, after genetic testing, six of those embryos had to be eliminated because of abnormalities. The couple had four chromosomally normal embryos — three boys and one girl.
Jim previously worked as a center fielder in Major League Baseball (MLB) before becoming a broadcaster for Fox Sports Midwest. He has four kids from his past relationships: Hayley, Lauren, Sutton and Landon. He and Meghan tied the knot on Oct. 24, 2014.
In a social media post last week, Meghan showed off her growing baby bump as she posed with her daughter. She is expected to give birth sometime in June 2018.
"The Real Housewives of Orange County" season 13 is expected to premiere in late 2018 on Bravo.
