'The Real Housewives of Potomac' News: Karen Huger Shows Support for Alzheimer's Association

Karen Huger continues to use her reality star status for a good cause.

"The Real Housewives of Potomac" ("RHOP") star recently hosted a charity dinner for the Alzheimer's Association, according to reports. Huger, 54, has been playing an active role on the charity circuit for several years now.

Huger's show of support for the organization does not come as a surprise, since both of her parents have been diagnosed with the disease. She has already been involved with the Alzheimer's Association way back but after her parents' diagnosis, Huger started working closely to the chapter.

"I need to help, I need to find a cure for this," she explained. "What a wonderful position to be in to raise funds to help others and not just my family but all families."

Although Huger is known for her generosity and kindness to others, she still gets into conflicts with her co-stars on the show. During the "RHOP" reunion episode in July, Charrisse Jackson-Jordan accused Huger of cheating on her husband of 20 years.

Huger has been allegedly unfaithful to spouse Raymond, with Jackson-Jordan claiming her co-star has a secret boyfriend. "I'm not going to do that, Charisse," Huger told Jackson-Jordan. "I was hurt. And I meant that I would put the picture up, but I just couldn't do it."

Meanwhile, it was announced last month that Katie Rost is returning to the franchise. Rumor has it that "RHOP" will have a revamp next season because of its not-so-good ratings during its past two installments. With Rost back, some believe she will give the show the ratings boost it needs to score another renewal from Bravo.

"The Real Housewives of Potomac" season 3 is expected to premiere early 2018 on Bravo. An exact release date has yet to be announced.
