'The Reflection' Episode 9 Spoilers: Who Is X-On? Masked Man's Past to Be Revealed Soon?

Has Steel Ruler convinced Eleanor to finally join Wraith's team on the next episode of the Japanese anime series, "The Reflection."

This week's episode revealed in a flashback the past of one of its most prominent villains: Steel Ruler. It turned out that Steel Ruler would've been killed in a mugging if not for the smoke from the Reflection hitting her at the exact same time. This would account for the kind of power she has come to possess, which was born out of the blade that was stabbed into her stomach during the mugging incident in her previous life.

Moreover, her offer for Eleanor to join their side, may not only save the Reflected that Wraith's people previously took from Louisiana, but will also finally reveal the man behind X-On's mask.

As an additional bribe, Steel Ruler also gave Eleanor a flash drive that contained all of the significant information from X-On's mysterious past.

But while it did seem like such a tempting deal that needed no second thoughts, Eleanor choose to give X-On the benefit of a doubt. However, since X-On has failed to show her that he trusted her, Eleanor may have just begun considering Steel Ruler's offer.

Should she decide to check out the contents of Steel Ruler's flash drive, what will she learn from it and how will this change the way she looks at not only X-On, but this entire situation with Wraith and her fellow Reflected?

Will she discover that Steel Ruler is only just pulling her leg and is trying to turn her against her own ally? Or will she be convinced without a doubt that she has taken the wrong side in the ongoing war all along?

"The Reflection" airs on Saturdays at 11 p.m. JST on NHK. Information on other broadcast schedules and online resources can be found on the series' official site. Episodes are also available in selected regions outside Japan via Crunchyroll.
