'The Royals' season 2 spoilers: How long will Cyrus reign? Will Liam avenge his father's death?
E!'s newest drama series "The Royals" has ended its first season and is now headed into the second season. The series revolves around a fictional British monarchy with a slew of family problems and never-ending issues. The show was created by Mark Schwahn who was behind the series "One Tree Hill."
The first season ended on a sad note as King Simon (Vincent Reagan) died after being stabbed by an unknown assailant right after he told the country that he wants to abolish the monarchy. Prince Liam (William Moseley) and Princess Eleanor (Alexandra Park) where declared illegitimate by a doctor who was paid off by the queen and therefore unfit to ascend the throne. Cyrus (Jake Maskall) becomes the acting King, while Helena (Elizabeth Hurley) remains the queen and it is discovered that Prudence (Poppy Corby Tuech) is pregnant.
The new season promises even more drama and more jaw-dropping events that will surely surprise and shock fans of the show. In some behind-the-scene photos, fans can see some intriguing moments that will surely happen like Queen Helena and Princess Eleanor very close together possibly just for a photo, and Prince Liam on a horse while he plays a game of Polo. Eleanor is in her bedroom as she talks to someone presumably Jasper (Tom Austen) after possibly having a fun night together. The Royal Family sits very far apart as they watch Prince Liam in his Polo match. King Cyrus addresses a crowd, while Jasper becomes part of Liam's security detail.

In the upcoming season, fans will see the vulnerable side of Cyrus as the issue that was seen with his mother will be explored further. Fans will also see the obsessive side of Liam as he tries to avenge his father's death and find his killer, and the downward spiral of Eleanor as she goes off the rails.
The forthcoming season will show an even bitchier and meaner Queen Helena who is going to become so bad that she will be beyond the point of redemption, which will make the fans hate the character even more. She might continue in her bid to become reigning monarch. Fans will definitely see more of Jasper and they will a see a new budding friendship between Jasper and Liam. Speaking of Liam, fans will see the young prince in bed with a few different ladies a lot more, but fans will also see him step it up as he learns to fight his own battles and become responsible for his actions.
Actor James Lafferty, who played Nathan Scott on One Tree Hill, has directed an episode in the new season as he shared in a photo on Instagram and he was excited to work with Mark again.
The Royals returns on Nov. 15.
