'The Sims 4: Get Together' News: Expansion Pack Pushed Back to December
EA has announced "The Sims 4" second expansion pack, "Get Together," will be delayed to the end of the year.
Maxis and Electronic Arts have confirmed there will be a one month delay in the release of their second DLC for "The Sims 4," titled "Get Together," saying they needed more time to "add more polish and depth," pushing the expansion pack to a December release date.
Apart from fixing all the bugs and glitches in the downloadable content, the video game developer and publisher added they are planning to create a bigger and better gameplay experience for users, listing the new features they would be adding to the upcoming post-launch content.
Following the simulation video game's first DLC, "Get to Work" in March, "Get Together" is geared at giving players the ability to choose their Sims' personal hangout activities and create new social experiences for their game's inhabitants.
New locations will be unlocked, together with a variety of social activities and skills Sims can do together with their friends, which include creating their own clubs, a DJ booth, DJ skills, dancing, and natural pools. The expansion pack will also be adding a new neighborhood, "Windenburg" to the game.
Players adding their own social Club to the game will be able to set their own Club characteristics, rules, and preferences.
EA and Maxim also announced they will be adding a board game feature called "Don't Wake the Llama," which appears to be a game similar to Jenga.
"The Sims 4," the fourth major installment in the life simulation video game created by Maxis for Electronic Arts, was released for PC in September 2, 2014, followed by the OS X version in February this year.
Initially scheduled for a November launch, the game's second expansion pack, "Get Together" will be released for PC and OS X on December 8 instead.
