The Sims 4 Held Back, Sequel to Have New Features
No spoilers, no previews, no leakages for The Sims 4? That's what it looks like at the moment as IGN is reporting that Maxis and Electronic Arts have decided to withhold review copies of the game until it is officially launched to the public.
According to CinemaBlend, the game developers' decision to postpone the release of review copies has garnered a lot of negative feedback from gamers, mostly because the users see no reason to do this if the game is "good, finished, polished, and complete."
The common theory among fans as to why the developers decided to do this is because of some backlash that they have experienced when they removed some content from The Sims 4 compared to what was in The Sims 3, specifically, the omission of toddlers and pools from the new game.

Right now, it is being speculated that the aforementioned game features could be made available in separately sold DLC packs. TheFuseJoplin.com is also reporting that multiple evidences points to the likelihood of having a premium plan for The Sims 4, wherein subscribers will be allowed to receive all content that gets released within the year.
The Sims 4 is described as being more in keeping with the times, as evidenced by the game's trailer wherein hash tags associated with the Sims world were featured. Particularly hilarious hash tags include #foreveralone, #weirdneighbors, and #creeper.
It is also being reported that the avatars can be manipulated into any shape without relying on controls, and that the virtual characters will be able to display a wide range of emotions.
The Sims 4 will be launched in the U.S. on Sept. 2.
